Dr. Wang completed his undergraduate studies at West Virginia University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He continued post-graduate studies at the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine where he received a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. Dr. Wang is among less than 1% of all podiatric surgeons who completed a four-year surgical residency in advanced foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. This training included vascular surgery as well as plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Wang went on to complete additional training in Microvascular Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. In 2003, Dr. Wang completed a fellowship in Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction in England where he received advanced training in external fixation.
Well-respected for his innovative techniques, patients travel from all over the United States and internationally to have Dr. Wang perform their surgery. Dr. Wang’s surgical techniques have garnered him recognition among his peers as an expert in complex foot and ankle disorders. He is honored to be called upon frequently by his peers to consult and help on complex cases and is often referred to patients world-wide for his expertise in external fixation and deformity correction. Dr. Wang lectures nationally and internationally on a regular basis teaching surgical techniques he has pioneered to podiatric and orthopedic foot and ankle surgeons.
A dedicated professional, Dr. Wang prides himself in his commitment in providing his patients only the best and ethical treatment of all foot and ankle problems and deformities. His special interest in sports injury and deformity correction has led him to develop numerous advanced techniques that allow his patients to walk immediately and recover faster. Dr. Wang also takes pride in the fact that his techniques are minimally invasive.
Dr. Wang enjoys snow sports, surfing and enjoys the outdoors whenever possible.
